Getting Excited :D
Jun. 5th, 2005 03:13 pmI'm starting to get hyped up about the annual 8th grade Six Flags Great America trip on Tuesday :D Going with family is one thing, going with friends makes things much fresher. I could've gone with the orchestra in 6th or 7th grade but then the thought of being alone there frightened me. Now its exciting. I mean, we've went there as a family for years, I know the park and I'm closer than ever with my friends.
There are a number of things I need to remember to do while I'm there:
-Buy a funnel cake. *drool*
-Get fudge to bring home
-Get one of those coke slushies
-Buy something for Patta :D
And I should probably rent a locker to put my camera and junk in, since I usually have someone to hold it for me when we go with the family but I may not always this time. They're expensive, though :x
There are also a number of things I shouldn't forget to bring >.>
-Camera and case (Though I'm a little worried, one year my old camera's memory fried because I brought it to Six Flags (It was a super hot day, my sister, sensitive as she is, started getting sick and almost fainted))
-Extra batteries :P (Another mistake made at previous trips. And this camera really sucks them.)
-A change of shoes. Tennis shoes or flip-flops depending on which I wear there. Flip-flops are hard on your feet after a while, but they're cooler.
-Something to drink. Or somethings. Not so much because of lack of avaliability (They have soda machines everywhere), but their soda there is so expensive :x You end up drinking a lot of it, especially if its hot.
http://www.sixflags.com/parks/greatamerica/index.asp <-- Teh Park. Located in Gurnee, IL, 'bout 40 mins from where we are. Its near the border and about the same time going from either Chicago or Illinois, so there's always a good mixture of both people from Wisconsin or Illinois.
We'll be there from 8am to 7pm.
