So, I posted an icon batch tonight. I'm annoyed because a few icons I made for that batch slipped through the cracks and weren't posted but I'll just put them in the next batch I post so WHATEVER.

But anyway, I hope to churn out several more batches of icons before the summer is over, and though I do get a glimpse of what people like from their comments (and I do very often post things that I know people aren't going to take anyway -- because obviously this is first and foremost something I do for fun), I just wanted to ask for any general comments on my graphics and what I should post in the future. Is there something I have been doing that you want me to do more of? Is there something that I don't do or don't do anymore that you think I should -- headers, friends only banners, mood themes, layouts, tutorials? Are there fandoms of mine you'd like to see me touch on more in graphics -- are there certain actors or characters or scenes I should consider iconing more?

Or are there just like... fandom-y things in general I should do more outside of free graphics, like fanfic and fanart? (Though those are harder to do on demand)

I'm already going to try being more experimental, but if you'd like to put in some input on where I should go I wouldn't mind.

For prosopopeya because she's having a bad day.

( Hoping that one day when you wake those feelings won't be there )

[31] Spring Awakening Sweden Icons

From the production in Karlstad, Sweden. I don't live anywhere near Sweden or speak any Swedish, but there are a lot of things I love about this production. Just some simple icons, no textures or anything (THANK GOD, I NO, RITE?)

For those unaware, NaNoWriMo is a challenge to write a 50,000 word novel in November (nanowrimo.org), and [title of show] (titleofshow.com) is a musical about writing a musical in three weeks and then what happens to that musical afterward (oh, and the musical being written? is [title of show]). So naturally there is some connection there. And so, as NaNoWriMo approaches (and has begun for some parts of the world!) I have created some icons with quotations from [title of show] to honor the occassion -- for use by NaNoers and [tossers] alike.

( No one will know )

In case you haven't heard, California has ruled its ban on gay marriage unconstitutional, and in honor I have put together this collection of icons centered on homosexual ships in SA. It's an understudy fest, so hopefully some of your favorite ships and understudies are represented :) If one of your ships is not present, you can inquire if you like and I'll see if I can get an icon or two together for it. Some are just really difficult to find good caps to work from.

Hopefully obviously, taking an icon doesn't mean you support that ship or anything -- feel free to take icons just because you like them :P It's just a ~theme~.

BTW, other icon makers and fic writers and such... Personally, I think it'd be really cool if more people ran with this idea in honor of today's news :)

1) I love Jeffery Self.

Keep David Archuleta Alive

2) THE "YELLOW" DRESS (WHICH IS APPARENTLY ORANGE SINCE APPARENTLY I DON'T KNOW MY COLORS) IS ALIIIIIVE

I have a nerdy fascination with the costumes of the female swings in Spring Awakening. The screenies on the right, from their performance on The View, is all I've ever seen of the mysterious yellow -- ORANGE -- dress worn there by Jenn Damiano who later, and for most of her time with the show, wore the purpley dress. And then when SA ended up with three female swings (as opposed to the two they started with, Jenn and Krysta), I assumed that Socha, who replaced Krysta, would inherit Krysta's dress (which she did), and then Eryn, who replaced Jenn, would inherit the purpley dress and then the new girl, Jenna, would end up with the yelloworange dress. But no. JENNA got the purpley dress and Eryn got a new dress. So I assumed the costume department just had something against the orange dress and it would be lost to the depths of Spring Awakening lore. UNTIL THE ABOVE PICTURE. (Which has Eryn in the purpley dress next to Jenna but I'm too lazy to go get the full picture).

If they're going to do a yellow dress/purple dress/Krysta dress thing now, they ought to just replace the Krysta dress with Eryn's new one. I have no idea how the ugliest dress of that bunch has never been touched while the others get rotated around. I also rather like Eryn's dress and don't want to see that get lost to the depths of SA lore.

3) My parents are back, with my grandma here for a month. It's nice to have the responsibility off my shoulders and to just have their company.

4) I have a bazillion SA icons I will post soonish. HERE'S A SAMPLING OF THINGS TO COME.

OH WAIT LULZ I HAVE AN ICON WITH ERYN IN THE PURPLE DRESS

5) I hope to get all my stuff together for mailing out the first batch of DVDs and such tomorrow (with the envelopes I have).

6) Gahhh I'm getting so behind on GTC stuff. This is going to come back and bite me in the ass, I know it.

7) PROM IS TOMORROW.
