Yes, meme land. I WENT THERE. I AM RESURRECTING THE GUILT-FREE THREE MEME, AS FIRST MADE POPULAR BY HANK AND JOHN GREEN, WHO I WILL BE SEEING IN RACINE IN NOVEMBER (IF ALL GOES WELL).

A "Guilt-Free Three" is basically three celebrities that you would have sex with (all current relationships you may be in or views on one night stands etc etc put aside for all intents and purposes) without guilt. Or, to put it more simply, THE THREE HOTTEST FAMOUS PEOPLE YOU CAN THINK UP.

I was brushing my teeth and listening to Johnny Gallagher's Nothing Gold and every time he sang the line, "S.E. Hinton's not a little girl anymore" I was like WTF, and it took me until the end of the song to suddenly remember:

Wait. S. E. Hinton is a woman.

Though we probably called English class "Language Arts" back when I learned that tidbit.

Also, the lyrics, "And you indulged a couple kisses, hey, that was great, but I had a better shot of scoring with your roommate" makes me laugh. And then immediately feel guilty afterwards. Johnny writes some gorgeous and poetic lyrics (Buried Boy anyone? Might be one of my favorite songs ever) and then... XD

He needs a CD. I love Lauren's voice and all and the idea of a CD from her excites me, but come on. Also, in getting that link, I just noticed that he has a solo show date up. Points to you getting your career back together, John. Now go make amends with your former bandmates :|

3) Oh. My. Gaiaonline. Just... wow. I don't know where to start. I mean... GTC... I love it. I just... enjoy it, so much, and I was so happy just doing it, and now out of nowhere we get... Gaia HQ interested in what we're doing and wanting to help us make it better. Like... what can I say? I am so... honored. The past couple weeks have been some of the hardest of my life, and then this week it's like... I'm not going to say everything's going right, because it isn't, but so many great things have happened I can't not be... I can't help but feel like ultimately it all balances out. I'm just grateful. Blessed is another word.

5) I love Frances Mercanti-Anthony as the adult women. Mary McCann, Christine Estabrook, Kate Burton... are okay. Frances is totally my favorite. Yes, I had to bring SA into this post. (JOHN JR DOESN'T COUNT AS SA ANYMORE) We'll ignore the fact that as of 12/18/07, whenever Frances goes on for Adult Women, she's only 7 years older than the actor playing her son and 4 years older than the actor playing her son's best friend. Not that that bothers me or anything, I just find it funny XD

Okay, so. Old Springs Pike.

Love the band still in that affectionate sort of way. However, much of my love for them had remained in songs of theirs before John left the band -- I sort of loved some of their post-John songs, but like, on the same level I'd always loved OSP songs not written by John -- that is, not quite as much as I loved John's songs.

However.

Then Heather wrote Breath and Sound.

For. the. win.

I think I'll feel better about John leaving OSP when he starts, you know, actually doing something. However long that takes. I think I just, you know... fell in love with his music and his acting and then completely out of the blue he sort of disappeared. And then I can be more content with OSP as it stands. I can't really blame OSP for not having John when it's not even their fault John is gone. SO.

It's nice that less John means more Heather, though.

1) Do I need to update on LJ's update page instead of DS for it to show up in my Facebook feed? Also, is it a bad idea to connect my LJ and Facebook? My LJ is rather anonymous but my Facebook is probably the least anonymous thing I have online. Discuss.

2) I know in my last list I talked almost completely about SA, but... Oh, YouTube. Oh, Spring Awakening. They had to perform on Good Morning America. And I need a list for this one. I like hearing myself type.

b1) Johnny B missing from another press-y appearance? Not that I really care, it's like one line, but I'm just curious since, you know... Robi did his part when they were on CW, Gerard did his part at Bryant Park, and Gerard again at Virgin Megastore. And now Matt on GMA. It's nice that the understudies get a little time to shine, though, I guess? XD
b2) Matt was totally fierce. TOTALLY fierce. Though he looks a little like a dark-haired Draco Malfoy there. y/n? I just thought of that when I was screencapping that XD
c) Blake Bashoff. Of all the songs in SA that Moritz has a decent part in... I think And Then There Were None is the one that John Jr does better than Bashoff to the greatest degree. Not that he was bad here or anything, but just saying.
c1) On a tangent, for one, I had no idea there were still clips from that boot on YouTube, for two, three cheers for Frances as Frau Gabor.
d) Blake Daniel. Taking Ernst in a different direction than Gideon Glick. Would love to see video of him to investigate this further.

f) Spring. Awakening. Stop. Performing. Totally Fucked. On shows. You can't say "fucked" on. I mean, the Tony awards, I thought the whole self-censoring thing was pretty clever, but when you change the lyrics, the deal is off. (I forgave you for Bitch of Living at the Tonys, because that was, well, the Tonys, and Bitch of Living, but Totally Fucked...)
