1. Leave a comment to this entry - it could make sense, or it could just be the first sentence crossing your mind.
2. I'll ask you five questions in response, so that I'll get to know you better.
3. Answer my questions at your personal LJ.
4. Keep the thing going by explaining the rules, asking and answering.
1) How did you come up with the handle "Arqueete"? (I feel stupid for not knowing.)
There's not much to know. It doesn't mean anything -- it was originally a name for a mule account on Neopets, I was like 11 and I liked the way it sounded. I never intended to keep it, but soon I started using it places... several times I've tried to transition to a variety of other names, I think the last was Past Midnight or Camelopardalis, but everyone still called me Arq (except Patta who always calls me Skippy -- but that's another story), so I gave up. Now that Arqueete has become the namesake of a traitor to the monarchy in a series of novels I enjoy, I wouldn't think to give it up XD
2) Who is your favorite Broadway actor of all time, and why?
DAMN YOU. Until October 23rd I can't say John Owen Jones because he hasn't actually been on Broadway, only the West End, yet. HOWEVER, I have every intention to DISREGARD the technicalities of your question and CHOOSE HIM ANYWAY.
I was OBSESSED with the Phantom movie when I got ahold of it. I never watched many Disney movies growing up, never saw Sound of Music or anything like that, so I was fairly in the dark when it came to musicals. I was ADDICTED. I literally watched the movie 3 times a day during the summer. Then, through a Phantom group, I got my first taste of the stage show through a bootleg. I was blown away, and set out to gather as much information about the stage show as I could. I could see the criticism of Gerry and Emmy -- this live performance was well beyond their skill. Eventually I found that the Phantom was John Owen Jones. I've heard and seen many performances of Phantom since, I'm even wearing my Phantom Vegas shirt right now, but nothing compares to that one (2/26/05 - JOJ's Last). I have video and audio of him in Les Mis and he blows me away in that, too. In short. JOJ. Wins. All. Check out that Soliloquy -- and that's from his first run.
3) Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens have invited you to their respective houses for a lunch of peanut butter sandwiches. Same date, same time. Ashley Tisdale only serves creamy Jif. Vanessa Hudgens only serves crunchy Skippy. Who do you choose to have lunch with, and WHY?
Creamy peanut butter is always better than crunchy, so Ashley Tisdale, hands down. Even if I don't care for peanut butter sandwiches. And Vanessa Hudgens gets on my nerves, even though the temptation to make subtle references to her photo scandal over sandwiches is tempting indeed.
4) If a tree falls down in the woods, and there's no one around to hear it, how much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
The woodchuck wouldn't chuck any wood. It has better things to do.
5) Would you light my candle?
Light your own candle, betch. Fire scares me.
