It's always easier to blog when you're supposed to be doing something else.

If I wanted to, I could finish all of the logos that are due May 20th today. But then I would have nothing to do until May 20th.

ANYWAY so. GTC rehearsal last night. A breath of fresh air from Tuesday's big ensemble rehearsal, for sure. Perhaps I shouldn't have done all these complicated group scenes at once right away (they were a lot of YOU. STAND HERE. THEN WALK HERE ON THIS LINE.) but attendance seems to be better at the first rehearsal and I wanted to get them over with. Considering I practically had to reteach the simple concepts several times within that night, no doubt I will be basically redoing that rehearsal at both dress rehearsals. Whatever. If they can pull it off it'll look cool. But anyway, last night was good. We were missing two people who were supposed to be there but things could be WAY worse and I'm SO grateful for that. I might have to replace my Adult Men but considering I have 5 swings that shouldn't be problematic. [livejournal.com profile] prosopopeya and [livejournal.com profile] dreamsofstars ran through the big Wendla/Melchior scenes like the beating and I Believe and they remind me of why this project is fun. Plus they've got some pretty darn capable understudies in [livejournal.com profile] nowthatsheaven and [livejournal.com profile] hanschenfangirl. Thanks to everyone who gave input on the script, BTW, if you want to read it it's here. Y'all need to come see us do our thing. Performances are... sometime... in May, I don't even remember. They're like Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday of some week or something. I might've posted it in [livejournal.com profile] spheretheatre, I don't remember. IF YOU'RE INTERESTED I CAN EXPLAIN. On Saturday I rehearse all the girl-y scenes, Tuesday the boys, and then Thursday and... Saturday or something are dress rehearsals. CLEARLY I ONLY KNOW MY OWN SCHEDULE IN THE SHORT TERM. On Wednesday and the Sunday after that I'm going to organize SA watching parties for the cast (some of them haven't seen it), what should we watch? I'm thinking off-Broadway one of the times since [livejournal.com profile] msmoocow and I talked about seeing that first and the charm of that whole video. And a) everyone should experience John Gallagher Jr. as Moritz at least once and b) I sort of loved Lea's performance back then.

Last night was weird. I took a nap in the afternoon and ended up being up until midnight RPing and being otherwise unproductive.

The teacher just came over and gave us all mints. He's a sweet man. Almost makes me feel guilty for writing in my LJ in his class. Except I just finished another logo. Just now. In like the past 3 minutes. HOW CAN PEOPLE SPEND LIKE ALL DAY ON ONE OF THESE?

Anyway so then I slept really badly. It didn't help that my grandma's cat was laying on my bed and unlike any NORMAL cat I can literally slide in the covers under her and she will not budge. And she was hogging the blankets. And she's heavy. But I woke up still in an okay mood and got to school on time for once but then a certain someone I won't name because this is public basically ruined the rest of my morning because he's got a degree in music and I had to sit in on his class today. Oh, wait, what was that? He DOESN'T have a degree in music? EVERYONE in the group is a senior in high school? We're supposed to be working TOGETHER and not having one person talk down to everyone else in the group? I think there was some confusion, then, because at least one person in the group thought that that's what was going on. I was not that person. I accept that I'm not that great of a violist. I don't feel I necessarily know BETTER than this person at all times. However. I have yet to see any evidence that this person necessarily knows better than me at all times either or even if he does, has the right to act so blatantly like he thinks so. I have a reputation for being quiet, I think. I don't like to make waves, generally. But I will not put up with that shit.

[livejournal.com profile] msmoocow got me into this Lowry album -- "Love Is Dead". I was slow getting into it but now I love almost all of it. If you haven't seen the video for their song Whiskey you should consider checking it out. It's got Emily Kinney in it and she is adorable, so you can't really go wrong.

I have Stats next hour and I didn't do my homework and I don't really care. Senioritis. In 30 days I graduate. wat. Mme says I should send out graduation announcements even though I'm not having a party and my extended family probably doesn't give a damn that I'm graduating. Should I? I think my parents will think it's stupid if I do.

When I want to cheer up or feed my cheeriness I listen to Folding Chair by Regina Spektor.

Stats better not drag on forever.
