Ahh, the talent show. The yearly event we wait for from January 'til now...

The first act was Bryton and Jow playing guitar, and it was okay... The band members of (Noun) of Doom kicked Bryton out of their band because they say he sucks, but compared to Joe I think he might be better... Not that I know anything about guitar.

Next were some 6th graders doing a dance routine to that Six Flags song... It sucked. But I already knew it would, I heard it from my friends in Stage Crew.

Then Stuart Nagy mouthed Blue Suede Shoes with some Poms girls dancing in the background. Interesting how they can violate the dress code if they're on stage with a mentally disabled boy.

Some... 7th graders, maybe, did a dance routine to Usher's 'Yeah'. It was good, more or less.

Simone sang Fantasia's 'Truth Is' it was amazing as always, but she did miss some high notes. If they allowed 14-year-olds in American Idol, she'd get past the first round at least.

Some 8th grade girls then did a routine to 'Loose my Breath'. Our dancers are always the most talented ;)

Some boy did some songs on Piano. He ended up winning first place, while I thought he sucked. After Todd...

Then some girl did 'My Heart Will Go On' on piano. She was so better than that boy.

Then some 7th graders sang. They weren't very good either.

Laura sang Boulevard of Broken Dreams with her brother Chris (Who's a freshman) playing it on guitar then it went into the real song and she danced. She wasn't very good, its not a song you can really sing, but her brother is hot and has a wondeful sense of humor, so its alright... ;D

Then Danielle sang Angels (The Sarah McLachlan song). She was good, I never knew she could sing.

Then the Student Council presented their video. Last years wasn't so good, maybe it was because being in Mrs. Quesnell's Homeroom makes me more involved with the videos and I knew all the actors, but it was a pretty good one. There were some wonderful jokes in there about teachers. They had Nick doing Mr. Borden, which was perfect, because he can so pull off that arrogant walk. Then they had Josh playing his dad, Mr. Pelkofer (My Algebra teacher), and they had him write illegibly on the board during the 'autopsy' (Its a well known thing that Mr. Pelkofer has bad handwriting XD) and as he was doing so they had crickets chirping. You have to be in his math class to appreciate that XDD Some of the jokes only people in my homeroom would get, but since I'm in my homeroom, I appreciated them :P

Then another 8th grade dance routine. This one was a little less than we hope for...

Then Kendall did one of her dance routines, which was good as always, and she won 1st place in solo dance for it.

Then Amanda Burch sang. I never knew she could sing that well either.

Another dance routine which wasn't that great either.

Then Rachel sang. She wasn't that good, no offense to her. She seemed really nervous.

Then another dance routine. It was alright...

Then Chelsey Fifer sang. She was amazing last year, but this one just blew us away. If 13-year-olds could be in American Idol, she would be in the final round. Seriously. It was amazing.

Another dance routine, one of this group's classic song mixes. It was alright, again. We're kinda used to them by now.

Okay, the next act was just horribly amusing XDD It won second place. Amanda and Joe singing 'Build me up Buttercup', but Amanda was dressed very tom-boyish and Joe was in a dress with a wig and a stuffed bra and it was fabulous XDD He sat there all girly.

Another dance routine. By this time we're annoyed with them.

Then (Noun) of Doom played. The Emcees did a pretty amusing intro for them, which is pretty good, the Emcees are known for being corny (Though not painfully so). The band was pretty good, but nothing vompared to the closing bands.

Then, for the closing, they always have Highschool bands play. Ryan Miller's band was a given, but they first had a Freshman band. Their first song sucked. Not only could the singer not sing that song for beans, they had so many technical difficulties. They apologized profusely afterward, acknowledging that it was bad, and then (After resolving technical problems)played American Idiot, which their singer could sing, and we all enjoyed it.

Then there was Ryan Miller and his band. They so, so beat out those Freshman. Well, they're seniors for one. Ryan Miller has an amazing singing voice, for two. (He had the lead role in the HS musical this year) They first played a song they said we wouldn't know by they liked, and we didn't know it, but we liked it too. Then they played a song they wrote, which was wonderful. Then Ryan said that he dedicated the next song to Mrs. Quesnell, that he knows she likes U2. He started playing and the stage crew brought out a chair and the Emcess had to practically drag a reluctant Mrs. Quesnell to the chair. She sat and listened, and half way through she had her head down and looked like she was trying to hold back tears. Ryan Miller and his class started the Talent Show, and Ryan has played at every Talent Show. Now they're graduating. And Mrs. Quesnell just lost her mother on Sunday (She wasn't sure whether she would even come today), so the song was very appropriate. It was very bitter-sweet. Afterwards Ryan and Mrs. Quesnell embraced and she touched the shoulder of one of the other boys on her way out. It was horribly sweet. Ryan and his band plan to put out a CD eventually. If I can get ahold of one, I want it very much.

Then the awards were presented, none were ones we didn't expect. Then after months of working on what is our grade's last Middle School talent show, we went home. I think all of us then felt how close we are to leaving this school. We've only been here 3 years, but we're still reluctant to leave it behind...
